Earlier, the Kenyan side topped their pool with convincing wins over Old Hararians (41-0) and Pit Bulls (36-0), securing their place in the quarterfinals.
The knockout encounter started competitively, with both teams trading early infringements. Floyd Wabwire broke the deadlock for Kenya following a powerful scrum. The conversion attempt missed, but the early lead settled the Morans’ nerves.
Moments later, a neat combination between Jackson Siketi, Brian Mutua, and Rayvon Ambale set up Chrissant Ojwang for Kenya’s second try, which was successfully converted.
Kenya’s physicality and composure kept Old Miltonians on the back foot, and before halftime, Gabriel Ayimba dotted down following a precise passing move, giving the Morans a 17-0 lead at the break.
The second half saw Kenya step up the intensity. Rayvon Ambale scored two quick tries, one converted, as the Morans showcased slick ball movement and blistering pace. Victor Mola and Dennis Abukuse also crossed the line, with Abukuse’s try resulting from a well-timed team buildup.
After Old Miltonians were reduced to six men due to a red card, Daniel Kipchirchir capitalized to score the final try, sealing a comprehensive 48-0 victory.
The Morans have now scored 125 points and conceded none in three matches as they continue their pursuit of the Zambezi Challenge 7s crown.
The Morans will now face Old Georgians in the semifinals at 13:20 hrs.
