The Kenya Harlequin scrum half joins on a rugby program
Kenya's U20 youngster Dewald Lucky has landed a rugby scholarship program at South Africa's prestigious Stellenbosch Academy of Sport, his club Kenya Harlequin has confirmed.
The Quins scrum half joins the academy after making his last appearance for Quins at the George Mwangi Kabeberi 7s played in May which marked the start of the six legged 2022 National Sevens Circuit.
"Congratulations Lucky Dewald on joining the Stellenbosch Academy of Sport on a rugby program. Once a Quin, always a Quin," the club posted.

The player who has represented the country in the junior 15s and 7s side joins the Jacques Hanekom led program. Hanekom is a former provincial rugby coach and he is a specialist in rugby player recruitment and development pathways. He is responsible for SAS Rugby programs and initiatives.
Other coach part of the program include former Blitzboks captain Philip Snyman and Frankie Horne.
SAS Rugby offers programs that expose players to High Performance sport and gives them the opportunity to become professional rugby players.

The SAS opened in 2012 and is a destination for sportsmen and women across many sport codes from all over the world. Other than being the home of the Springboks Sevens, U/20s and the Western Province Rugby Institute, it is also the preferred choice for the Springbok senior side for holding camps.
It is an all-inclusive facility that houses a gymnasium, medical-and rehabilitation facilities, dining hall as well as accommodation and meeting rooms.
