Kenya 7s Head Coach Innocent Simiyu has announced his squad that will take part in the opening two rounds of the World 7s Series set for Dubai on November 26-27 and December 3-4.
Mwamba's Tony Omondi who missed the better part of 2021 on injury and Kabras' Kevin Wekesa are on course to make their Sevens World Series debuts after being named in the squad that jets out on Sunday.
After missing out since the 2018/19 season, Impala's Edmund Anya returns having impressed in the Safari 7s tournament with Bush Mwale also making a comeback after missing the Olympics and the 2021 World 7s Series.

Nelson Oyoo will captain the side that boasts of some regulars including Alvin Odhiambo, Daniel Taabu, Billy Odhiambo, Herman Humwa, and Jeffrey Oluoch, with Johnstone Olindi also making a return.
With the squad announcement, Simiyu heaped praises on Omondi, Wekesa, and Anya, noting that the Impala's winger brings a different dimension to the team.
“We are looking at how to improve on our team execution in the quest to attain our set targets. Wekesa has a lot of potential, we indeed view him as the next Andrew Amonde. Omondi was in line for his debut in Vancouver until a concussion ruled him out. Anya played well during the pre-season Safari 7s, and apart from his pace and ball-carrying ability, brings another dimension in the air,” Simiyu said.
