The former Kenya Sevens international confirmed that he finalised the move in May and is set to link up with his new teammates next month as he embarks on a fresh challenge in the Polish top division.

“I signed the deal in May. I will be at the club for two seasons. They play in the top division, and I will report to the team next month,” Mokoro said.

“I am very happy for this milestone. It’s another opportunity for me to grow as a player, challenge myself in a new environment and continue representing Kenyan rugby abroad,” he added.

Mokoro joins Posnania Poznan after ending his stint in Romania, where he featured for CSA Steaua before making a move to RC Gura Humorului in April 2025.

His time at Gura Humorului got off to a dream start, with the dynamic scrum-half delivering a standout display just weeks after arriving to earn the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in one of the club’s league matches.

The dreadlocked number nine has steadily built a reputation for his speed around the breakdown, sharp game management and attacking awareness, qualities that have seen him establish himself as one of Kenya’s best rugby exports in Europe.

Mokoro first moved abroad in May 2024 when he left Kenya Harlequins to join Romanian giants CSA Steaua, becoming the fourth member of the 2012 Kenya Cup champions to secure a professional contract in Romania.

Before taking his talents overseas, Mokoro enjoyed an impressive representative career in Kenyan colours. He featured for the Kenya Under-20 side (Chipu), the Kenya Morans and the national Sevens team, Shujaa.

He was also part of the Morans squad that represented Kenya at the 2024 African Games in Ghana before completing his move to Europe.
