The highly anticipated Driftwood 7s is set for Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July at the Mombasa Sports Club.
Quins, who lifted their first National 7s title in over a decade last season, headline Pool A alongside university powerhouses Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad, and Nairobi giants Mwamba RFC.
Mwamba, who recently finished second at the Ruff n Tuff 7s, are expected to add more heat to what is already the most competitive group of the tournament.
Quins’ triumph in 2024 was built on consistency, with the side reaching five semi-finals and clinching both the Driftwood 7s and Ingo 7s.
They topped the standings with 109 points, just four ahead of Kabras RFC, who ended with 105.

The victory marked Quins’ fourth overall National 7s title, adding to their previous wins in 2005, 2006, and 2012.
Their recent resurgence has cemented their place among Kenya’s elite 7s clubs, alongside the likes of Impala, Mwamba, and KCB.
Pool B promises a clash of styles and form as Kabras RFC, last season’s runners-up, are drawn against a spirited Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) Monks side, Nakuru RFC, and returning giants Impala.
In Pool C, former champions KCB Rugby will battle it out with Nondies, Daystar Falcons, and hosts Mombasa Sports Club.
Pool D is equally stacked, with Menengai Oilers facing off against Ruff n Tuff 7s champions Strathmore Leos, Kabarak University, and the Stallions.
The 2025 circuit calendar has six legs. After Driftwood 7s in Mombasa, the teams will head to Nakuru for the Prinsloo 7s on Saturday, 2 to Sunday, 3 August.
The action then shifts to the capital for the Christie 7s on Saturday, 16 to Sunday, 17 August at RFUEA Grounds.
Clubs will then head to the Embu 7s slated for Saturday, 24 to Sunday, 25 Sunday.
The penultimate leg will be the Kabeberi 7s on Saturday 6 to Sunday 7 September, before the curtain falls with the Dala 7s in Kisumu on Saturday, 13 to Sunday, 14 September.
