The defending Dala 7s champions were forced to dig deep in a cagey first half where neither side managed to score a try.

But Kabras finally found their rhythm after the break, with William Mwanji breaking the deadlock and Brian Ambale adding the extras.

Moments later, Patrick Lumumba powered over for a second try, with Ambale’s conversion sealing a commanding 14-0 victory.

The win saw the Sugarman set up a blockbuster showdown with KCB Rugby.

The Bankers earned their spot in the title decider after seeing off a spirited Daystar Falcons side 19-5, in a contest that rekindled memories of the Kabeberi 7s final where KCB also reigned supreme.

Falcons struck first through Clinton Amukwachi, but KCB hit back before the break when Stephen Osumba crossed over along with the conversion giving them the lead.

Former Falcons star Floyd Wabwire then came back to haunt his old team after the restart, touching down for KCB’s second try, which was converted.

He later turned provider, setting up George Ooro for their third.

Though the conversion went wide, the Bankers held firm against late Falcons pressure and secured their passage by kicking the ball into touch at full time.

Elsewhere, in the fifth-place playoffs, Nakuru RFC handed Strathmore Leos a second defeat of the day, grinding out a 12-7 win through tries from Joel Mboya and Fidel Wekesa.

Mwamba RFC also advanced after edging Nondescripts 21-19 in a thriller.

Eugene Ojiambo, Stephen Juma, and Brian Mutugi scored for Mwamba, while Ronnie Omondi bagged a brace alongside Victor Rogena for Nondies, but a missed conversion proved the difference.

In the Challenge Trophy semifinals, Catholic Monks ran riot against Embu RFC with a 41-0 demolition, while Impala RFC squeezed past Kenya Harlequin 12-10 to book a final showdown with the Monks.

Meanwhile, in the 13th-place playoffs, MMUST RFC defeated Homeboyz 28-10, as hosts Kisumu RFC thrilled their fans with a hard-fought 19-14 win over Mombasa RFC.
