2024 Kabeberi 7s pools announced

Kabras RFC, fresh from their maiden Dala 7s title win with a 24-5 victory over Menengai Oilers, now top the circuit standings with 61 points

The pools for the 2024 Kabeberi 7s have been announced. 16 teams are set to compete in the event slated for Saturday 24 to August 25 at the RFUEA Grounds.

Pool A features Kabras RFC, the top seed after their recent Dala 7s victory, who will face Nakuru RFC, Strathmore Leos, and invited guests Impala RFC. Currently leading the circuit standings, Kabras RFC will be aiming for their maiden Kabeberi 7s title.

In Pool B, Menengai Oilers will compete against Catholic Monks, Stallions Rugby, and the invited Kisumu RFC.

Pool C sees Kenya Harlequins go head-to-head with Nondescripts, alongside university teams Daystar Falcons and Blak Blad.

Pool D includes MMUST Rugby Club, KCB Rugby, hosts Mwamba, and newly promoted MKU Thika.

Kabras RFC, fresh from their maiden Dala 7s title win with a 24-5 victory over Menengai Oilers, now top the circuit standings with 61 points. This triumph has pushed them ahead of Kenya Harlequins, who previously held the top spot.

Kenya Harlequins, now in second place with 58 points after a third-place finish in Kisumu, remain strong contenders under coach Paul Murunga.

KCB Rugby currently sits in third place with 45 points following their fifth-place finish at the Dala 7s. Despite losing their title, they remain a formidable presence on the circuit.

Menengai Oilers have risen to fourth place after making their first final appearance of the season, earning crucial points.

Catholic Monks hold fifth place with 40 points, while MMUST is in sixth with 39 points after reaching their first semi-final of the season.

Nondies are seventh with 37 points, followed by Nakuru RFC in eighth with 30 points. Strathmore Leos and Daystar Falcons round out the top ten in the standings.
