Three Super League matches will be played on Saturday

Title hopefuls Butali Warriors will be aiming at opening a twelve-point gap at the summit of the Kenya Hockey Union men's Premier League when they tackle the 2016 champions Strathmore University Gladiators at City Park.

Butali comfortably sit at the apex with 33 points, nine ahead of the 2017 champions Kenya Police who will not be in action on this Saturday.

Apart from widening the rift between them and the second placed law enforcers, the sugarmen will be seeking to retain their unbeaten status as they haven't tasted defeat in the past thirteen rounds.

Gladiators, who returned to winning ways last Sunday after humbling Parkroad Badgers are ranked fourth with seventeen points against their name.

Western Jaguars are scheduled to host Sailors at the Eregi Teachers Training College grounds in another men's Premier League match. Jaguars are placed third on the log with 23 points, seven ahead of the fifth ranked Sailors.

In the women's Premier League, league leaders Strathmore University Scorpions have a date with the Kisumu based Lakers at City Park.

Scorpions who are unbeaten will be bidding to find their winning mojo back after playing record Kenyan champions Blazers to a 1-1 draw last weekend.

Lakers on the other hand are brimming in confidence after scooping six points from their last weekend's double fixture played in Kisumu.

Three Super League matches are on the cards on Saturday with Kisumu Youngsters playing host to Sikh Union in Kisumu.

Parkroad Tigers will play Multi-media University at City Park while Nakuru will entertain JKUAT in Nakuru.

Three nationwide matches are also lined up for the day. Bungoma Farmers are set to play University of Eldoret in Bungoma with Blue Pirates welcoming Nandi Hawks in Kakamega. University of Nairobi will play Daikyo Heroes at the Strathmore University grounds.
