Nairobi-based taekwondo fighter lost to Serbian Milica Mandic by 13-0
Unfortunately, the third-ranked fighter of this year's African Championship Faith Ogallo was not an opponent serious enough for the former Olympics gold medalist Milica Mandic.
The only Kenyan taekwondo competitor Ogallo was defeated by Mandic in the +67kg category - the Serbian qualified for the quarter finals with the score 13-0 against former basketball player turned taekwondo prospect.
From the very beginning of the fight, Serbian took initiative and Faith had no chance. London 2012 Olympics champion opened first two rounds each with a hit to the head which created quite a cushion for the Serbian.

A reminder - Serbia is quite successful in taekwondo in the last decade or so. Mandic has already passed the mantle of Serbian taekwondo to Tijana Bogdanovic, another young talent who's won the silver in the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro and has already won the bronze in Tokyo in the category -49 kg.
Given such a fresh established pedigree of Serbian taekwondo, it is not the end of the world for Faith Ogallo. She still has a chance of fighting for the medal - conditions are: Milica Mandic needs to win in the finals and Ogallo needs to win her next fight to earn a spot in the bronze-medal match up.
Ogallo's next opponent is Polish fighter Aleksandra Kowalczuk and the fight is at 13.30 Kenyan time.
