6-0, 6-0 for the Polish player in one of the most bizarre showdowns at All England Club

Iga Swiatek and Amanda Anisimova will go down in the history books!

The former for winning the 2025 Wimbledon title in women's singles, while the latter for one of the worst-ever defeats at this stage.

To be precise, Swiatek not only defeated her rival in 57 minutes at The All England Club on Saturday afternoon, but she double bagelled Anisimova with two straight sets without losing a single game, 6-0, 6-0!

It was the first double bagel in the final match on the WTA tour since Steffi Graf's Roland Garros triumph over Natasha Zvereva in 1988.

"It seems super surreal," said Swiatek, who won her sixth Grand Slam title without a single loss in the decisive match.

"Honestly, I didn't even dream of winning Wimbledon because it was way too far.

"I feel like I'm an experienced player, having won other Slams, but I didn't expect this."

Anisimova, just three months younger than Swiatek, seemed tense from the start and made many errors in the opening set, during which she won only nine points. Things didn't improve in the second set, either, with a total of 28 unforced errors.

Fighting back the tears as she addressed the crowd, Anisimova said: "It's been an incredible fortnight for me, even though I ran out of gas.

"I wish I could have put on a better performance for you today."
