The 2025 KSSSA National Term Two Games volleyball finals are set for a blockbuster rematch as defending champions Kesogon Girls and rivals Kwanthanze Girls booked their places in the final after commanding semifinal victories at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST).

Kesogon overcame a stubborn Sulumeti Girls side in straight sets, grinding out a 3-0 win in a tightly contested affair that saw the opening sets go the distance (31-29, 26-24, 25-15).
Kwanthanze, on the other hand, put on a clinical performance to sweep aside Soweto Girls with a comfortable 3-0 victory (25-17, 25-12, 25-13).
The final will be the third consecutive national showdown between the two volleyball giants.

Kesogon, who are also the reigning East Africa champions, will aim to retain their title and extend their dominance, while Kwanthanze will be seeking redemption and a return to the summit.
Boys’ Volleyball: Hosts Malava to Face Champions Cheptil
In the boys’ volleyball semifinals, home favourites Malava Boys thrilled the crowd with a 3-1 triumph over Gogo Secondary.
After splitting the first two sets (25-18, 19-25), Malava found their rhythm to take the final two sets (25-16, 25-14) and secure their spot in the final.
Defending champions Cheptil also made light work of their semifinal, breezing past Coast region’s Mwaluphamba in straight sets (25-19, 25-16, 25-19) to keep their title defence on course.
3x3 Basketball: Pioneer, Sigalame Set Up Boys’ Final; Tigoi to Battle BuruBuru in Girls’ Showdown
At the Kakamega Police Canteen courts, the 3x3 basketball semifinals served up thrilling action in both categories.
In the boys’ competition, Pioneer School powered past St. Mary’s Yala 21-12 to book a place in the final. They will be joined by Sigalame High School, who edged St. Joseph’s Kitale 21-18 in a tight contest.

On the girls’ side, Tigoi Girls overcame a spirited Asumbi team 13-11 in a tense encounter. BuruBuru Girls, meanwhile, comfortably saw off Ng’iya Girls 16-07 to cruise into the final.
All finals are set to take place on Saturday, promising fireworks and fierce battles for national glory.
