Anyango, who holds an unbeaten 10-0 record, will headline an explosive eight-bout fight-card at Masshouse, Ngong Road, which will for the first time in Kenya’s boxing scene, seek to place women firmly in the spotlight during Women’s Month.

The 35-year-old, fighting for the first time under the Kalakoda banner, will look to add a second belt to her Pugilist Syndicate of Tanzania (PST) title, when she comes up against Tanzania’s Halima Bandola, who has a 2-8-1 record.
Anyango’s last outing in November saw her dispatch Uganda’s Marion Arankunda via unanimous decision, and she will this time aim to become Kenya’s latest East and Central African champion, joining cruiserweight Joshua Wasike and heavyweight Morris Okolla, who all took title wins last month.
Also in the frame on the women’s side will be Kenyan veteran boxer Elizabeth Andiego, who will for the second time asking, hope to make her pro-debut, when she comes up against fellow super-middleweight Charles Mdemu of Tanzania.
Andiego, who earlier this year announced her switch from amateur in search of high-level opponents, was a late scratch from Kalakoda’s “Nightmare in Nairobi II” event in February, following the withdrawal of her opponent Christina Raura on medical grounds.
The two-time Africa Championships silver medalist in a recent interview with Mozzart Sport said she was still excited to finally get lift-off.
Another women’s fight on the card will see England’s Anushka Loggenberg make her debut against Tanzania’s Sijali John in a four-round super-welterweight contest.
On the other side of the divide, Kenya’s Emmanuel “El Toro” Chivoli will make his return to the ring when he comes up against Uganda’s Pasco Lukwago in a high-stakes super lightweight clash.
Chivoli (7-2-2), made his last appearance in November last year, overcoming Tanzania’s Ally Mulenga via unanimous decision.
His latest opportunity will pit him against the 28-year-old Lukwago, who has a record of 2-8-0, even as he looks to build his credentials in the division.
Also making a return to the ring after some time out will be Brian “BMB” Munyolo, who will face compatriot McGregor Ochenge Njoroge in a welterweight bout.
Munyolo (2-1-0), last fought in 2024, when he suffered his first career loss via TKO to Richard Okoth.
Other Kenyan boxers - Stephen Olang and Nicholas “Makaveli” Mwangi - will appear for the first time under Kalakoda, with fights against Uganda's duo of Ronald Miiro and Ronald Jemba lined up respectively.
South Africa’s Felix “Lights Out” Loggenberg will also make a swift comeback to the ring, coming up against Uganda’s Musa Mugisha in a super-welterweight match-up.
Loggenberg, who holds a perfect record of 2-0, has fought in all Kalakoda fight-nights in Nairobi, and was a tight winner against Uganda’s Frank Ngobi last month.
