Parklands Sports Club stunned Kenya Police following a narrow but hard-fought 1-0 victory to register their first win of the season in the Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) Men’s Premier League on Saturday, 10 May at the Mathare Depot grounds.

A 29th-minute goal from Dan Onyango proved decisive in a match that saw the newly promoted Parklands side show character and resolve against a formidable Police team.

Elsewhere in the Premier League action, United States International University-Africa (USIU-A) continued their impressive form with a 2-0 away win over defending champions Western Jaguars at Eregi Teachers Training College.
Danstone Wabwire bagged a brace, scoring in the first and third quarters to lead the students to a well-deserved victory.
At City Park Stadium, Sikh Union Nairobi produced a clinical performance to beat KCA University 4-0. Penalty corner specialist Mathias Gulalire netted twice, while Cliffe Omari and Kit Garner each added a goal to complete the rout.
In the Women’s Premier League, debutants Kisumu Queens continued their dream start to top-flight hockey with a dramatic 2-1 comeback win over USIU-A at the Kisumu Simba Grounds.
Trailing with just two minutes left on the clock, Kisumu found their rhythm when Elsa Awuor converted a penalty corner in the 58th minute. Moments later, Beryl Achieng completed the turnaround in the last minute of the match.
In other women's league matches, Lakers fell 2-1 to Blazers in Kisumu, while Twinkle and Mombasa Sports Club shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
In the men’s Super League, Mvita XI edged Parkroad Badgers 1-0, while Kisii Falcons were held to a 1-1 draw by Wazalendo Masters.
In the women’s second tier, Swans beat Mwiki 3-1 to bag all three points at Aryans Grounds in Mombasa.
