For a third year in a row, the Serbian player faces a landslide defeat at Wimbledon at the hands of the world’s No. 1 (3-0)
Jannik Sinner delivered a statement performance at Wimbledon on Friday, brushing aside Novak Djokovic in straight sets to reach a second consecutive final and move within one victory of retaining his crown.
The world No. 1 produced a near-flawless display on Centre Court, defeating the seven-time Wimbledon champion 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 in just two hours and 20 minutes.

It was the perfect response from Sinner after Djokovic's dramatic five-set victory over him at the Australian Open earlier this year, as the Italian left the 24-time Grand Slam champion with little room to fight back.
The opening set remained finely balanced until Sinner found another gear late on, breaking Djokovic with a barrage of fearless winners before confidently serving it out. From there, the momentum never shifted.
The 39-year-old Djokovic briefly threatened to turn the tide in the second set but failed to capitalise on his chances, while Sinner remained ruthless behind his serve. The Italian won an outstanding 88 per cent of points on his first serve and dominated the key moments throughout the contest.
For Djokovic, the defeat marks another painful near miss in his pursuit of a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam title. At 39, the Serbian showed flashes of the brilliance that has made him one of the sport's greatest champions, but he could not match Sinner's relentless intensity and precision.
Now only one obstacle remains between Sinner and another Wimbledon trophy. The Italian will face Alexander Zverev in Sunday's final, aiming to cap another outstanding fortnight at the All England Club with a successful title defence.
