“Coming to Rwanda, we had prepared well, using the national league as part of our build up for these games as well. We are aware that Rwanda Police are one of the best teams here and in the region. They are currently top of their league.
With that knowledge, we are polishing our training more so on defense because the best way to win is by defending well and making your scoring chances count whenever you get them,” offered coach-cum-player Barasa.

“With a defensive set up in mind, we have been training on three on three defense and the three two one format as well, and we continue perfecting that while here, since our scouting tells us the teams we will be up against this weekend have good back court players.
We are confident that the squad is equal to the task and we will not be complacent. We will take the competition one game at a time and hope to lift the title,” Barasa added.
Volleyball is represented by Kenya Volleyball Federation men’s league holders GSU and Directorate of Criminal Investigations in the women’s category. The two sides also play a round robin format.
