Competing against a strong field of 178 players, Snow delivered a composed and consistent performance across the demanding 90-hole event, which featured a cut after 72 holes.
He finished tied 21st at 15 under par 345, comfortably earning his place among the top 25 players and ties to secure Sunshine Tour membership in Category 9, boosting his chances of entry into oversubscribed events.
Snow posted impressive rounds of 68, 68, 67, 72 and 70. On the final day, he carded a front nine 34 with birdies at the sixth and ninth holes.
Despite back-to-back bogeys on the 12th and 13th, he rallied strongly with birdies at the 17th and 18th to cap off a solid finish.
“This is an incredible feeling,” Snow said after sealing his card. “It’s something I’ve worked towards for a long time, so there’s pride and relief. But it’s only the beginning. I’m excited to compete consistently at a higher level, keep improving and test myself against some of the best.”
The Muthaiga Golf Club player earned his place at the final stage after finishing fifth on the Sunshine Development Tour Order of Merit, qualifying him among the top 30 players.
He described his decision to compete in Q School as a necessary step forward.
“I believed in my game and knew I had to step out of my comfort zone to grow and compete in a stronger environment,” he added.
Snow becomes the fourth player from the Sunshine Development Tour East Africa Swing to earn a Sunshine Tour card this season, joining Njoroge Kibugu, Celestin Nsanzuwera and Dismas Indiza, who finished first, second and third respectively on the Order of Merit.
Sunshine Development Tour East Africa Swing promoter Charles Gacheru hailed Snow’s achievement as a testament to the Tour’s growing impact.
“Greg’s success shows exactly what this pathway is designed to do. It provides a clear route to the Sunshine Tour and beyond. His consistency and persistence have paid off, and this is a big moment not just for him, but for Kenyan golf,” he said.
Elsewhere, Rizwan Charania finished tied 114th, missing the cut, while Uganda’s Ronald Rugumayo impressed with a tied 56th finish at 8 under par, earning Big Easy Tour membership.
The tournament was won by Chile’s Agustín Errazuriz, who dominated the field with a remarkable 26 under par finish.
Looking ahead, Snow is relishing the challenge of competing on the Sunshine Tour.
“It’s a big step up, but exactly the challenge I’ve been working towards. I’m looking forward to testing every part of my game, adapting to different courses and conditions and putting myself in contention.”
He also emphasized the transformative role of the Sunshine Development Tour in East Africa, describing it as a game changer that provides structured, high-level competition and a clear pathway to global tours such as the DP World Tour.
Sunshine Development Tour Tournament Director David Kihara praised Snow’s performance, noting his composure under pressure and steady growth throughout the tournament.
Snow’s breakthrough adds to the growing momentum of East African golfers on the international stage, reinforcing the region’s emergence as a rising force in professional golf.
