KCB is the last Kenyan club to lift the women’s title, in 2022
The chase for CAVB African Club Championship title continues in Cairo, Egypt with the three Kenya teams participating through to the quarters.
African silver medalists Kenya Pipeline booked their slot on Monday after topping group C unbeaten with nine points. They were given a bye since pool A had only three teams.

On their way to the quarter-finals, the oil merchants, under the guidance of former Kenyan international Esther Jepkosgei, defeated Mayo Kani Evolution (Cameroon), Customs (Nigeria) 3-0 and Saint Denis Olympique Volley (Reunion Islands) all in straight sets.
Meanwhile, Kenya Prisons beat Beat NCS of Nigeria in the round of 16 matches, going 25-10, 25-18, 25-13 for a quarters berth.
In similar fashion, 2022 African champions Kenya Comercial Bank (KCB) got the better of ASEC of Ivory Coast in straight sets of 3-0 (25-06, 25-18, 25-13) to qualify for the last eight.
