Kenyan giants AFC Leopards failed to reach the Ksh 1 million mark in gate collections during their match against Tusker, despite the game attracting a decent crowd.
Leopards beat 12-time FKF Premier League champions, Tusker FC, 1-0 last Sunday at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Leopards have been witnessing a trend of reaping big on home matches played on Sundays.
However, the club fell short in raising more than a million shillings last Sunday.
“A total of 2680 tickets were sold: 2306 for terraces and 374 for the VIP in our match against Tusker FC at Nyayo Stadium.
We take this opportunity to thank all of us for purchasing the tickets, turning up for the match and your cooperation at the gates,” read a statement from the club.
This means that Leopards collected a maximum of Ksh 878,800, with Ksh 691,800 being realised from the sale of regular and Ksh 187,000 for VIP passes.
Regular (terraces) tickets were retailed at Ksh 300, while those who sat at the VIP section had to part with Ksh 500.
The drop in revenue is attributed to the flash sale ticket offer for three midweek days, where regular tickets retailed at Ksh 200.
The amount realized against Tusker is a significant decrease from their previous Sunday clash against Shabana, when they generated up to Ksh 3.6 million.
However, the Tusker clash generated more than the up to Ksh478,000 that Leopards collected from their match against Posta Rangers on 21 March.
Leopards’ arch-rivals Gor Mahia were the biggest winners over the weekend in revenue after they raised Ksh2.44 million in their home match against Shabana on Saturday 21 March at Nyayo Stadium.
Back to the field of play, Hassan Beja came off the bench to score the winning goal for Ingwe.
