Victor Wanyama was an unused substitute on Monday morning as his side, CF Montreal, picked up a derby win over Toronto away from home.
Montreal resumed action after a three-week break and got the points and bragging rights after beating their Canadian rivals 3-2.
Canadian midfielder Mathieu Choinière grabbed a brace for Montreal in the game, while the other goal was Aime Mabika's own goal. Former Juventus man Federico Bernardeschi scored twice for Toronto, goals that proved to be just consolation strikes.

In France, Joseph Okumu was not named in the matchday squad as his club Reims picked up a 2-0 triumph over Clermont-Foy for their first win of the season. Okumu was a major doubt for the game due to a knock picked earlier in the week and, in the end, was left out of the match-day squad.
