USA police humiliate the Uruguay national team

The footballers were treated like a drug traffickers
Supposedly everyone is equal, but not everyone receives the same treatment. Some get special treatment—and not the pleasant kind. What it would be like became apparent as national teams arrived on North American soil. The Uzbeks were "shaken down to their underwear," and the Uruguayans went through something similar. On the eve of their opening World Cup match, they were humiliated. Ahead of their game against Saudi Arabia in Miami, they were treated in Florida as if they were drug traffickers. The Uruguayan team bus arrived at the stadium, and the players were subjected to security checks. After getting off the bus, they had to unload their belongings so that sniffer dogs could inspect the luggage. Meanwhile, they stood quietly in line, waiting for the police officers to complete the procedure.

And that was not the only interesting detail. Uruguay and Saudi Arabia drew 1–1, but after the match journalists were more interested in footage of Marcelo Bielsa during the official World Cup team photo session than in the game itself. He refused to look at the camera and instead stared at the ground.
“I don't have to give any explanation,” Bielsa began, before continuing:
“The picture was taken the way it was taken. I'm not a model. I don't have an answer for that. Should I also explain why I'm not looking at the people who are speaking now at the press conference? I don't have any explanation to give”.
And then he returned to the bizarre photo session that had intrigued everyone present.
“There are limits to what we should have to explain. If I look up or down, do I have to explain that too? Some situations simply don't need an explanation. We are not obligated to behave like models. I didn't do anything wrong” he said.
