He made his debut against Central African Republic last week after earning his maiden call up

Tusker FC striker Ibrahim Joshua played his second match for the Tanzania national team Taifa Stars as they played to a one-all draw in an international friendly match at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday.

The lanky forward made his national team debut in the 3-1 win over the Central African Republic last week, coming off the bench to feature for much of the second half.

Against Sudan, the striker who is on his first season with Tusker was given the starting nod but only featured for 45 minutes, being withdrawn at the start of the second half for George Mpole Mwaigomole who scored the third goal against the Central Africa Republic.

Siddiq Gahdia gave Sudan the lead after just two minutes with Simon Msuva grabbing the equalizer slightly over the hour mark and the two teams held on to the one-all draw to full time.

The Tanzanian has scored 11 goals for Tusker in all competitions, hitting eight in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League, two in the CAF Champions League qualifying round, and one in the FKF Super Cup at the start of the campaign.

He joined the defending champions in August last year alongside his compatriot Kalos Kirenge on a two-year deal and has been impressive for Robert Matano's charges.
