United's coach is not thinking about resigning or dismissal from his post
Galatasaray came to England and won its first game on the island in history. On the other side, Manchester United have lost six of their first ten games for the first time since the 1986 season. After the worst start in 37 years, the Red Devils are in crisis and it’s quite logical that the talks about Erik ten Hag’s responsibility are gathering pace. But, after tonight’s meltdown against the Turkish champion, the Dutch tactician was not bothered about his own safety.
“Last season went brilliant, terrific more than we could expect. But also in this project we knew there would be gaps and in this period we are in a very difficult period but we come out together, fight together, stick together and that is me the directors, the team, altogether we will fight. This is not us we know we will do better” said United’s coach.
What was evident last night were the defensive blunders, but the Dutchman didn't want to give any excuses, even thou Sofyan Amrabat had to play as left back.
"There are no excuses. Maybe we have a little unbalance on the left side but we can't make the errors we are making. We have to do better, we have to win our games. There were the same mistakes, we could say, but I have seen a team that was really connected, I have seen a team with a great spirit and they played in stages of the game fantastic, scored good goals, twice up and totally in control of the game. But all of a sudden we make a mistake, an error and football is a game of mistakes but, of course, I have to give coaching, instructions, how we deal with these occasions and such situations” explained the Dutchman.
18 - Manchester United have conceded 18 goals in 10 matches in all competitions this season, their most after 10 games of a campaign since 1966-67 (20). Indeed, Sheffield United (19) are the only Premier League side who have conceded more than them this term. Fragile. pic.twitter.com/2ZeSOC4DXR

Once again, maybe too many times this season, Manchester fans booed their players, and Ten Hag had no complaints about that.
"Yes, I can understand. They can expect a responsible for this team, for the performance, for the result, together with my squad and in this moment we don't get the results and they are disappointed, I can understand. We have to do better, but as I said I have seen a team with a great spirit, and also a team was backed by a crowd from the start to the end and, in the end, the fans are disappointed, as we are, but it has to be fuel. That is the good thing for this team: every time they find energy, every game, every start of the game, there was a team with a lot of energy and with a good motivation to go into the game" said Ten Hag.
One of the scorers last night was Wilfried Zaha, the former United player. When he levelled the score, he reacted by sprinting towards the fans with a huge grin on his face and with his arms outstretched. After hearing the boos from the United fans, Zaha put his hands to his ears and laughed at their abuse.
"Dreams come true, really. I'm happy to be playing in this competition, and it's a good night for me. It literally is everything I dreamed of. Even things like coming here on the bus, the music before the game starts, the stars on the ball... I've finally made it here, and there's nothing like it. It's playing between the best and it's a chance to showcase my talent between the best - 'it’s here to decide whether you’re good or not. Days like today are what it's all about for me" Zaha told TNT Sports.
