The goal marked Muguna’s fourth in four appearances since making his debut as a substitute on 1 February, against Orapa United.
Since switching clubs in the Botswana Premier League, head coach Leutwetse Tshireletso handed Muguna his first start, on Wednesday, following an impressive run of three consecutive appearances off the bench.
The former Kenya Police FC and Gor Mahia midfielder repaid his coach’s faith with a 10th-minute strike to give Flamingoes the lead.
Tafic, who challenged for the title last season but are now battling relegation, responded five minutes later through Selemane Bitumba to level matters.
The 1-1 stalemate pushed Sua to fourth place on 36 points, eight behind joint leaders Galaxy FC and Gaborone United.
For Muguna, the strike extended a rich scoring streak.
The former Township Rollers midfielder scored a late winner in a 3-2 victory over Gaborone United three days ago.
He also found the net in a 3-0 win against Extension Gunners and scored on his debut against Orapa United in a 3-1 triumph.
Tshireletso, appointed on a two-year deal in December 2025 after replacing Nikola Kavazović, has now guided the team to a four-match unbeaten run.
Muguna joined Sua Flamingoes in January, ending his short stint at Township Rollers amid reports of financial challenges at the Gaborone-based club.
The move came barely five months after the experienced Harambee Stars international signed a two-year contract with Rollers following his departure from Kenya Police.
