The outing marked his fourth consecutive appearance since joining Etoile in early September
Harambee Stars defender Alphonce Omija continued his steady run of form in Tunisia after clocking a full shift for his club, Etoile Sportive du Sahel, in the Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 on Wednesday, 1 October evening.
Omija, a former Gor Mahia and Kariobangi Sharks center-back, was once again trusted at the heart of defense as the 11-time Tunisian champions faced Stade Tunisien at the historic Stade Olympique de Sousse.

Despite his commanding presence, Etoile were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw after conceding a late equaliser in a tightly contested encounter.
The home side appeared on course for maximum points when Ben Mazouz struck in the 66th minute to hand Etoile the lead.
However, Mohamed Rayan Smaali struck two minutes from time, rescuing a precious point for table-topping Stade Tunisien and denying Omija’s side a vital win.
For the Kenyan international, the outing marked his fourth consecutive appearance since joining Etoile in early September.
He has now accumulated 360 minutes of competitive action, underscoring the trust placed in him by the coaching staff and his rapid integration into North African football.
The result, however, leaves Etoile Sportive du Sahel in a precarious position. With just nine points on the board, they sit 11th in the 16-team table, nine points adrift of leaders Stade Tunisien.
The pressure is increasingly mounting as the club seeks to revive its title credentials and climb back into the top half of the standings.
Attention now shifts to Sunday, 5 October, when Etoile travel for a daunting clash against second-placed giants ES Tunis.
