Harambee Stars midfielder Timothy Ouma is set to embark on his second season of European football as he prepares for Europa Conference League action with Polish giants Lech Poznań.

Ouma, who joined Lech Poznań on a season-long loan from Czech champions Slavia Prague, has been enjoying more minutes in recent games and will be hoping for another run-out when the Polish side hosts Austrian powerhouses Rapid Vienna on Thursday, 2 October, evening in their Conference League opener.
The 20-year-old Kenyan got his first taste of continental football last season with Swedish side IF Elfsborg, featuring in the Europa League before earning a high-profile transfer to Slavia Prague in January.
His experience and steady performances in Sweden could prove crucial as Lech aims to make their mark in Europe.
Lech Poznań face a tough challenge against Rapid Vienna, the 32-time Austrian Bundesliga champions.
Both clubs head into the clash eager to start strongly and bounce back from disappointing domestic results.
Lech were held to a 2-2 draw by Jagiellonia Białystok in their last league outing, a match in which Ouma featured for 31 minutes as a second-half substitute, marking his 13th appearance for the club this season.
He has started three games and completed 90 minutes in each.
Rapid, on the other hand, suffered a 3-1 defeat to fierce city rivals Austria Vienna in the Austrian Bundesliga last weekend, adding urgency to their European campaign.
Lech Poznań enter the Conference League group stages after falling to Belgian side Genk in the Europa League playoffs, while Rapid Vienna secured their place by overcoming Hungarian club ETO FC Győr in the qualifiers.
Thursday’s clash marks the first-ever competitive meeting between the two sides. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. East African Time.

Ouma has quickly become an integral part of Lech’s squad since making the switch from Slavia Prague, featuring in four of their seven league matches so far this term.
Thursday’s game offers him a platform to further cement his place and showcase his growing European pedigree.
