Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg 's late goal saved the day for Nuno Espirito Santo's outfit that was close to losing at Rennes (2-2)
The newly established UEFA Europa Conference League doesn't have many attractive clubs in their portfolio to brag about, unlike the Europa League let alone the Champions League.
Among those relatively unknown slots, however, we have Tottenham and Rennes that are considered to be not so far away from the elite. And it was precisely those two that collided tonight in the ECL tie that ended in a 2-2 stalemate.

Tottenham’s trip to Rennes was supposed to rediscover their attacking mojo, but instead it turned into a night where Nuno was counting the walking wounded

Although Spurs broke the deadlock when Lucas Moura scored an opener 11 minutes into the game, the hosts bounced back soon to tie the game at one.
Moreover, they had taken the lead 20 minutes before the end. And just when it seemed the Spurs will suffer a heavy defeat in the maiden group game, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg stepped up not long before the final whistle to save at least one point for the visitors ahead of their much-awaited upcoming Premier League tie against Chelsea.

Spurs fans will have a lot on their mind before the clash with the Blues since both Steve Bergwijn and Moura had to leave the game due to injuries.
