Salah's amazing rant against Slot and Liverpool

The Egyptian opened up about his relationship with the manager and his omission from the team
Just a little over half a year ago, Mohamed Salah was carrying the entire Liverpool team on his shoulders. In a sea of extraordinary seasons, the 2024/25 campaign was probably the most dominant of the legendary Egyptian’s career, and had Liverpool, by any chance, won the Champions League, Salah would have been the Ballon d’Or winner. He extended his contract and stayed at Anfield, but he never dreamed that by the end of 2025 he would be living through the hardest moments of his career. Fourth in the Ballon d’Or voting, he has become a bench player for the worst Liverpool side in the past fifteen years!
To make things even worse, Arne Slot didn’t even bring Salah on against Leeds, another team that took points away from the Reds. After the 3–3 draw, the Egyptian drew attention near the touchline by applauding the home crowd, who responded in kind. To many, it looked like a kind of farewell. Salah then withdrew into the stadium interior and decided to break his silence. And within moments, his statement had spread across the footballing world.
“I cannot believe that I'm sitting on the bench for 90 minutes! That’s the third time in a row, I think for the first time in my career. I'm very disappointed, I've done so much for this club - everyone can see that - over years, especially last season, sitting on the bench I don't know why. It seems like the club has thrown me under the bus. That’s how I feel it. It's very clear that someone wants me to get all the blame. Club promised me a lot in summer. So far I I’m on bench three games, so can't say they have kept those promises. I say many times I had a good relationship with the manager and all of a sudden we don’t have any relationship, I don't know why. It seems like someone does not want me in the club” started Salah.
The Egyptian didn’t stop there. He put additional pressure on the club with his next statement.
“I love the club so much and I will always do. I called my mum yesterday because I knew I wasn't going to start and told my mum and dad to the Brighton game next Saturday. It doesn't matter if I play or not, I'm going to enjoy it. We'll see what's going to happen but in my head I'm going to enjoy that game, if I play or not. if I'm on the bench of not because I don't know what going to happen now. Just going to be at Anfield and say goodbye to the fans and go to the Africa Cup, because I don’t know what is going to happen. In football you never know but I don’t accept this situation to be fair. I have done so much for this club” he said.
For a month now, there has been no sign of Salah. In six consecutive matches, he has been neither a scorer nor an assist provider. However, even the ‘shock therapy’ has failed to bring about any significant improvement in results. In fact, putting Salah on the bench brought another, bigger crisis in the club.
“It’s not acceptable to me to be fair. I don't know why this is happening always to me. If I was somewhere else, every club would protect its player. I don't know why I am in this situation now but again... how I see it now, it's like "You Throw Mo under the bus because he is a problem in a team now”. But I don’t think I'm the problem. I have done so much for this club. I don't have to go every day fighting for my position because I earn it. People will say "oh you're not bigger than the club"... I'm not bigger than anyone. But I earn my position, this is football. It is what it is. I love everyone, I love Haaland but I will talk about him because I think I know him a little bit. I’m the current top scorer in the Premier League. He’s not yet. He’s going to win it hopefully. It’s fine for him. I love him. He knows that. I’m a top scorer, best player, winning the league in such a style. I‘m the one who has to defend himself in front of the media and the fans, everyone” he continued.

Salah was also angry for being criticized by all TV pundits (he mentioned Jamie Carragher) while other players in the league were supported when they were in his situation.
'Can you believe it? I've been in this club scoring more than anyone in this generation I would say. Since I came to the Premier League I don’t think anyone else scored more goals than me or assists. And if I’m in somewhere else, everybody will go to the media and defend the players. I’m the only one who’s not in that situation. Can I give an example? It’s silly, I'm sorry but I remember Harry Kane was not scoring for 10 games. Scored one or two goals. Everyone in the media was: "Harry will score for sure." but when it comes to Mo "he needs to be on the bench" he said.
The Egyptian forward stopped short of saying that he will leave the club in January, and repeated that he doesn’t know who wants him to leave, but confirmed again he doesn’t have a relationship with Arne Slot and they will not speak.
“We spoke a lot, so nothing to speak about. There is no relationship between us. It was a very good relationship and now all of a sudden, there is no relationship” he said.
