Jose Mourinho wants Francesco Totti to join him at Stadio Olimpico
Francesco Totti, the legendary AS Roma captain, has acknowledged the possibility of working with Jose Mourinho again in the future. Totti revealed that he maintains contact with Mourinho and that the Portuguese manager has expressed a desire for him to have a role at his club.
"We text each other sometimes, and we spoke on the phone some time ago. I think he wants me there. Maybe I could be back next year."
Totti hopes to see Mourinho stay at AS Roma for an extended period. Mourinho's current contract with the club expires in June 2024.
"We are talking about a great person and a great man. As a coach, he is the absolute number one. You need great players to win but also a top coach who can help and motivate. He and Ancelotti are the most successful coaches. It sounds like an insult to criticise Mou."

Although his playing days have finished, the legendary Prince of Rome still enjoys the game - in a different way.
"It's what makes me happy. I was having fun on the pitch, and I continued watching Roma from home. It's always been my life, and it made me known worldwide."
Totti hopes to see the new exciting attacking duo of Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala in action for I Giallorossi on Sunday when Empoli arrive at the Stadio Olimpico.
"We've never seen them together, and now it would be the case. I can't wait."
The 2006 World Cup winner scored 307 goals in 786 appearances for Roma during his playing career. After retiring, he became a club director in 2017 but resigned from that position two years later, citing a lack of involvement in decision-making and conflicts with the club's management and former chairman James Pallotta. Should he return - he would have much more freedom to mould the club in his image.
