Sofapaka head coach Robert Matano has slammed his goalkeeper Brandon Obiero following his costly mistake in defeat to Murang'a Seal.
Batoto ba Mungu welcomed Seal in their midweek FKF Premier League match played on Thursday 28 November at Dandora Stadium.
The match ended 1-0 in favour of Seal who scored from the penalty spot through midfielder Joe Waithera. It was the nature of the penalty that made Matano furious with his goalkeeper.

Obiero caught the ball and in a bid to have a quick restart, Seal's John Mwita stood on his way to delay him. Obiero reacted by hitting Mwita with his elbow leaving the referee with no option but to point to the penalty spot.
“I had to quarrel with him because what was he doing? I can never be happy with bad things. He was the problem. If you can take the ball inside the box then just decide to hit the opponent, that is his mistake,” said Matano.

“Obvious. Everyone has seen it. Why hit someone off the ball when you already have the ball?”
The four-time league champion also blamed his forwards for not converting the numerous chances that his side created.
“We have given out the match. We lacked calmness and were not clinical in front of goal but we will work on that.
The Mara and Police games were decided by the referee but on this one, we gave it out ourselves,” he added.
Reports linked the former AFC Leopards head coach with a move to Kenya Police but he was coy about the matter although the vacancy has now been filled by Burundian coach Etienne Ndayiragije.
“As you can see I am here. My club is where you see me. The media can write but I am here,” he noted.
Sofapaka will be back in action on Sunday 1 December with a clash against Kariobangi Sharks at Dandora Stadium.
