Resilient 10-men Fulham grab a late point against sloppy Arsenal
Reading Time: 2min | Sat. 26.08.23. | 19:40
The Gunners came from behind, were on the verge of victory, the visitors' player was sent off... and, still, it ends 2-2
What a dramatic game, and what a dreadful outcome for Arsenal, as the Gunners slipped after just three games into the new season.
Despite coming back from behind against Fulham, the North Londoners allowed the 10-man visitors to strike again a few minutes from time for a disappointing 2-2 draw that could hurt Arsenal's title quest.
It ends all square at The Emirates as #Arsenal draw 2-2 with 10 man Fulham 😠Dissapointed overall with that result and the fact that we were not able to hold on after doing so well to get ahead. 🔴 pic.twitter.com/UZrzJM9BlQ

On the other hand, the Craven Cottagers may have failed to record their first-ever league win at Arsenal, but they will surely take heart from the hard-earned point they take back to West London.
Bukayo Saka made a horrible mistake to set up Andreas Pereira for Fulham's opener within the first minute of the match. Just like at Old Trafford, the underdogs felt comfortable with such a present and stayed in the lead until the middle of the second half.
However, Saka with a penalty and Eddie Nketiah put the hosts ahead in controversial fashion - with Arsenal not putting the ball out despite an injury to Calvin Bassey, who was later sent off.

Then, when probably the entire Emirates Stadium, including Fulham's Marco Silva, thought we were heading to another Arsenal victory, the rollercoaster took another ride.

All of a sudden, Joao Palhinha was handed the freedom aroundthe penalty area to score the visitors' equaliser. And the man didn't hesitate to make it 2-2 in a pouring rain.
