Things started awfully for the Red Devils, but they didn't surrender. Instead, Ten Hag's boys bounced back for a 3-2 win
What was that, oh my!? No one could have possibly predicted that the start of a match between Manchester United and Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon would find its place in history. For all the wrong reasons, if you ask United fans.
In just 3 minutes and 50 seconds, the Red Devils conceded two against the Tricky Trees, making the Premier League record for the fastest double ever conceded.
2-0 Nottingham Forest.

However, then we saw a sensational comeback, as Erik ten Hag's boys bounced back marvellously to win 3-2 in the end.
As we said, things started awfully for the Red Devils, as Taiwo Awoniyi's remarkable solo run saw the Nigerian striker score his third goal of the season. Just a minute or two later, it was 0-2 on the scoreboard, with Boly stunning the packed Old Trafford for an unexpected lead for the minnows.

The woeful hosts couldn't get their heads around that they were trailing by two goals almost before the match started properly.
Still, they were left with plenty of time to get a grip and such an experienced side knew how to get the most out of it.
Firstly, they netted their maiden goal through Eriksen following Rashford's assist and from that moment on, the entire atmosphere at the Theatre of Dreams changed almost instantly. Albeit still behind, United looked determined and sharp, winning those duels in the middle that may not affect the result but show one's desire.
And the desire is the fuel that can get you three points. So that's exactly how the fixture unfolded after the break.

Casemiro, who missed a sitter, made amends shortly after that mistake and levelled the score thanks to a mouth-watering set-pieces action. Once on the brink of a total comeback, once they smelled the rival's blood, Ten Hag's guys were eager to go all the way.
And finally, it paid off for them with 15 minutes left on the clock. Rashford was taken down in the box, and the hosts were deservedly rewarded with a penalty that Bruno Fernandes converted into a 3-2 lead.

Ten-men Forest - whose Joe Worrall was sent off due to a 'professional', last-man foul, fought bravely until the very last seconds. However, after more than 100 minutes of thrilling football, Man Utd celebrated a significant victory that would set the tone for their season's start.
