Brazil, Serbia and Switzerland end up together just like four years ago
The day has finally arrived! We've got our World Cup groups in place (well, mostly) after tonight's draw in Doha. The group stage will see some old foes meet again - including Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski. The players who have waged many a battle in club football will go head to head in the biggest tournament of them all when Argentina and Poland clash in group C.

After a glamorous ceremony, that saw the introduction of the official tournament mascot, the match ball, and a few other bits that nobody really wants to see, the draw was made – and we're happy to report that there will be quite a few intriguing matchups in the group stage.
In the last tournament, Brazil, Switzerland and Serbia were dropped into the same group - and it's happened again. In 2018, it was Brazil and Switzerland who made it through to the knockout stages. This time, the Serbs will seek revenge with their morale running high after topping their qualification group ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal.
England have been drawn into a group where the English language will be the dominant one. They've got the United States and could possibly end up with either Scotland or Wales after the European play-off completes.
GROUP A: Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, Netherlands
GROUP B: England, Iran, USA, Scotland/Wales/Ukraine
GROUP C: Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Poland
GROUP D: France, Peru/Australia/UAE, Denmark, Tunisia
GROUP E: Spain, Costa Rica/New Zealand, Germany, Japan
GROUP F: Belgium, Canada, Morocco, Croatia
GROUP G: Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland, Cameroon
GROUP H: Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay, South Korea
There is no doubt that all eyes will be glued on groups E, F and H, but there will be plenty of action everywhere! Qatar and Ecuador will play at the tournament's grand opening on 21 November.
Usually, all the teams would be known before the World Cup draw but this year three positions are yet to be decided for two different reasons.

Two intercontinental finals will be played in Qatar on 13 and 14 June. Costa Rica and New Zealand meet in one and in the other Peru will play the winner of the United Arab Emirates v Australia, who meet in the Asian play-off in Doha on 7 June. Scotland's semi-final against Ukraine was postponed until June when it is hoped Ukraine will be able to play. The winner of that game will face Wales for a place at the World Cup.
