The match is a round 14 fixture that did not take place, but the stage is now set for it to finally kick off, even as the league administrators continue with efforts to realign the fixtures.

Ahead of the game, Bungoma are eighth on the log with 21 points, while Madira are ninth, just a place above the relegation zone with 19 points.

Kenya Police Bullets FC are still at the summit of the league with 31 points, one more than second-placed Vihiga Queens, with Ulinzi Starlets rounding up the top three with 29 points.

At the opposite end of the table, Kisumu All Starlets are at the bottom with -4 points, their latest point deduction coming from the walkover issued this past weekend against Zetech Queens.

Together with Kisped Queens, who are on -1 points, the two lakeside clubs' relegation to the second tier is sealed as they are joined in the red zone by Gideon Starlets on 16 points.

Bungoma have registered mixed results in their previous three matches; winning against Trinity Starlets, losing to Kayole Starlets and securing a draw against Gideon Starlets.

Madira, on the other hand, secured back-to-back wins over Kisped Queens and Kisumu All Starlets before suffering defeat in their last match against Kibera Soccer Women.

Both teams will therefore be eying a win that will not only push them high up the table but also increase their buffer between themselves and the relegation zone.

The Wednesday afternoon clash comes three days after four round 17 matches were played over the weekend.

Kayole Starlets secured a massive 4-1 win over Kisped Queens, Gideon Starlets and Bungoma Queens battled out to a barren draw, varsity club Zetech Sparks were beneficiaries of a walkover, while Kibera Soccer beat Madira by a 2-1 scoreline.
