Rafaela Pimenta's job is to protect her client. OK, but she urgently needs to come up with some wiser lines...
The avalanche has started, and now there's no chance it will stop any time soon. So, the crisis PR is just what Paul Pogba needs after his provisional ban due to a doping offence.
As you've probably read, Italy's national anti-doping tribunal (Nado) said Pogba returned a test with elevated testosterone levels after Juve's 3-0 win at Udinese on 20 August, in which Pogba took no part. Testosterone is a hormone that increases athletes' endurance, and the French international has three days to produce a counter-analysis of the result to Nado.
Italian anti-doping rules stipulate that Pogba could face a four-year ban if found guilty of intentional doping.
RMC Sport reached out to the player's agent, Rafaela Pimenta, and she said she was "awaiting the second sample and cannot have an opinion before the results".
"What is certain is that Paul Pogba never wanted to break a rule," Pimenta added.
We heard that excuse many times before, dear Rafaela...
