Bayern Munich officially unveiled Luis Diaz, who became the third most expensive acquisition in the club's history

Bayern Munich's top target, Florian Wirtz, opted for Liverpool. His alternative, Nico Williams, chose to stay with Athletic Bilbao. Still, the third option was the charm for the Bavarians, as Luis Diaz has officially become their player, arriving from Anfield for €75 million.

This made the ex-Reds player the third most expensive Bayern acquisition in the club's history, right behind Harry Kane and Lucas Hernandez, and the third Colombian at the Munich side after Adolfo Valencia and James Rodriguez.

Considering Diaz's age (28), it's clear Bayern won't get their money back when they part ways with the forward. At the same time, many argue that the amount the Bavarians spent on him is too high. After all, everyone still remembers Sadio Mane - who also joined Bayern from Liverpool after an even better spell at Anfield than Diaz - and his mediocre season, physical altercation with Leroy Sane, and eventual departure from Munich after only one year.

Still, the Bavarians now have an absolutely terrifying attack with Diaz, Kane, Jamal Musiala, and Michael Olise and not many rivals will be able to keep their nets intact.

The Colombian signed a four-year deal with Bayern and will wear #14.
