Migori Youth vs 3K FC
Topping the bill is the Mozzart Bet Derby in Awendo, where table-toppers Migori Youth will look to continue their perfect start to the campaign when they host 3K FC at the Awendo Green Stadium.
Migori Youth have been in imperious form, winning all four of their opening fixtures, edging past Mwatate United (1-0), FC Talanta (1-0), Kisumu All Stars (2-1), and MCF (1-0) , to remain unbeaten and firmly perched at the summit of the 20-team standings.
Head coach Sammy Otulo will once again rely on in-form forwards Elvis Wafula and Syphas Otieno to maintain their scoring rhythm.
The Awendo-based side has also built a formidable home record, a fortress that few visiting teams have managed to breach.
However, they face a stern test against 3K FC, who arrive buoyed by a commanding 2-0 victory over Mombasa United last weekend.
Coach Francis Chege’s charges are unbeaten in their last three outings, having also beaten Darajani Gogo (1-0) and drawn against FC Talanta.
A win for 3K FC would see them climb to 10 points, just two shy of Migori Youth, while victory for the leaders would extend their perfect run to five wins and 15 points.
The two sides split last season’s meetings, where Migori won the first leg 1-0 before 3K avenged with a 2-0 triumph in Embu, setting the stage for another fiercely contested showdown.
Mombasa United vs Naivas FC
At the Mbaraki Sports Club, Mombasa United will be keen to bounce back from last weekend’s 2-0 defeat to 3K FC when they host unbeaten Naivas FC.
The coastal outfit, under coach Gilbert Selebwa, has enjoyed a strong home record, winning consecutive matches against Luanda Villa and Fortune Sacco.
Another victory would take them to 12 points and keep them within striking distance of league leaders Migori Youth.
But the task is far from easy. Naivas FC, guided by Elvis Ayani, are yet to taste defeat this season, having recorded wins over Mwatate United, MCF, and Fortune Sacco, alongside a draw with Vihiga United.
The Shoppers, who narrowly missed promotion in back-to-back seasons, are determined to mount a serious title challenge this term.
A win in Mombasa could propel them to the top of the table, should Migori drop points in Awendo.
Kibera Black Stars vs Nzoia Sugar
In Nairobi, Kibera Black Stars welcome Nzoia Sugar to the Hope Centre in what promises to be an entertaining clash.
The Black Stars have hit their stride with three straight victories, edging Kisumu All Stars, MOFA, and Nairobi City Stars, a run that has lifted them to nine points.
A fourth successive win would take them to 12 points, potentially moving them to second place.
Their opponents, Nzoia Sugar, will be seeking to end a three-match winless streak.
Coach Charles Odero’s side started brightly with a 2-1 win over 3K FC, but have since been held to draws by Mwatate United and FC Talanta.
With both sides having won once apiece in their last two meetings, Wednesday’s encounter promises to be finely balanced.
FC Talanta vs Gucha Stars
At the Ruraka Grounds, FC Talanta will look to snap a three-match winless run when they host debutants Gucha Stars.
Talanta, under head coach Jackson Gatheru, have not tasted victory since their opening-day 1-0 win over Kibera Black Stars.
On the other hand, Gucha Stars, who stunned Vihiga United 2-1 last weekend, will be out to claim another high-profile scalp.
A win for Gucha would lift them to six points, while Talanta could move up to eight and into the top five with a home success.
Vihiga United vs Kisumu All Stars
At the Mamboleo Stadium, Vihiga United and Kisumu All Stars clash in search of their first victories of the campaign.
Vihiga, led by Milton Kidiga, have collected just two points from four matches, while Billy Agai’s All Stars have also endured a difficult start, picking only a single point from their last three outings.
With both sides desperate to break their winless runs, the encounter is expected to be tightly contested, continuing a rivalry that has historically produced narrow scorelines.
Soy United vs Luanda Villa
Elsewhere, Soy United will host Luanda Villa at the Eldoret Showgrounds, while Fortune Sacco will entertain MCF at the Kirinyaga Stadium.
Soy will be hunting for their first win of the season, while Villa will be looking to build on their recent 2-1 victory over Kabati Youth.
Fortune Sacco vs MCF
Fortune Sacco, fresh from their 1-0 triumph over Equity FC, will aim to make it two in a row but face a determined MCF side eager to respond to last weekend’s loss to Migori Youth.
All fixtures are scheduled for 3:00 PM kick-off, though changes may occur in the event of adverse weather conditions.
