National Super League (NSL) newcomers 3K FC maintained their solid start in the league with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Luanda Villa at Moi Stadium, Embu.

3K debuted last weekend, with an impressive 4-0 triumph away to former top flight side Kisumu All Stars.

Luanda Villa had also started the season with a 1-0 win over Kibera Black Stars and were eager to maintain their clean sheet.

Michael Macharia scored the decisive goal after converting a rebound from Oscar Juma's penalty, which had been initially saved by Villa goalkeeper Richard Bacha.

The victory places Francis Chege’s charges at the top of the 20-team table with six points.

Kibera Black Stars 1-0 Darajani Gogo

At Vapor Grounds, Kibera Black Stars broke their derby curse by beating Darajani Gogo 1-0.

Kibera entered the match without a win in their last four derby encounters and were coming off a loss the previous weekend.

Former Mathare United striker Donald Ange scored the only goal of the match in the 30th minute.

MOFA 1-1 Mombasa Stars

Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA) secured a 1-1 draw against Mombasa Stars at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homabay.

MOFA, fresh off a 1-0 opening weekend win against Naivas, struggled to find a breakthrough against the coastal side.

Stars, who traveled with just 15 players and Coach Mohammed Madaga as the only member of the technical staff due to off-field challenges, went ahead in the 39th minute through Abdulraham Malo.

However, Alex Mwalimu equalized in the 70th minute, resulting in a draw.
