Three matches will kickoff at lunchtime, with the other at Ukunda Showgrounds being a 3PM game
The National Super League enters Week 11 on Saturday afternoon with four fixtures to be played, paving way for a busy Sunday to wrap up the weekend.
The highlight match of the day will see league leaders Mathare United seek to extend their already strong lead on top of the standings when they host newcomers Rainbow FC, while SS Assad and Vihiga Bullets will want to end their wretched run of form in the day’s late kickoff.
Mathare United vs Rainbow FC
There is no team hotter than the Slum Boys this season, and following a gritty 2-1 win over Kajiado FC last weekend - one that kept them on top of the standings by five points - Saturday could provide them a chance to go eight clear, only if they see out visiting Rainbow at the Ruaraka Grounds from 1300 EAT.

Its matchday! We’ll be in action against Mathare United FC today at 1 p.m. sharp. The venue is Ruaraka Grounds. Be there, be loud, and be part of our quest for +3 pivotal points.#RainbowFCKenya | #MathcDay | #NSL | #TheRainbows pic.twitter.com/jnf3T5gNfz
Their chasers in Mara Sugar and Naivas don’t play till Sunday, and the visitors will be missing three of their players: Joshua Keya, Tyson Kariuki and Manzur Okwaro, all who were named in Kenya’s squad for the upcoming CECAFA U-18 Boys Championship.
SS Assad vs Vihiga Bullets
At the Ukunda Showgrounds from 1500 EAT, two sides winless in their last four games will hope to see their runs come to an end, with the visitors, who lost 3-1 to Kibera Black Stars last weekend, looking more desperate to jump out of the relegation zone.
In an interview with Mozzart Sport this week, Bullets head coach George Owoko anticipates a tough and exciting tie when he faces his former second in command at Bandari Nassoro Mwakoba.
“I am glad I will be meeting my assistant at Bandari and it promises to be a good clash and tough at the same time. We are going for all the three points because our main aim is to survive the chop and we are ready to do it in a fashion this week.”
Friendly ties may not be the theme after all.
Mulembe vs Silibwet
Returning head coach Mike Mururi will take to the sidelines for Mulembe United days after his reappointment hoping to see his side rebound from a 2-1 loss to Mombasa Stars last week that erased their initial two-game winning streak.
On the opposite end will be lowly ranked Silibwet, who have lost their last two fixtures, and failed to score against Mulembe last season.
The match kicks off at 1300 EAT at Mumias Sports Complex.
Migori vs Kibera Black Stars
To cap it off, on-form Migori Youth - on the back of two consecutive wins without a goal conceded - will welcome Kibera Black Stars - also winners of their last two - at the Migori Stadium from 1300 EAT.
Both sides are evenly matched up in terms of head of head (two wins each in four meets) and a win for either side could see their season take a turn in the positive direction.
