Haalan's home nation will miss yet another major international tournament
European Championships are considered among the highest of quality football tournaments, with some of the biggest stars showing their worth for their country. However, next year's tournament won't feature the most dominant goalscorer of today.
Norway's hopes of qualifying for Euro 2024 were dashed after Romania secured their place by defeating Israel 2-1 in a crucial match. This outcome made it impossible for Norway to qualify, leaving Erling Haaland and his team out of the tournament.
Haaland, who is currently injured and was absent from Norway's recent qualifier against Scotland, will once again miss out on participating in a major international tournament with his national team. Norway hasn't appeared in a World Cup or Euros since Euro 2000.
Meanwhile, Switzerland secured their qualification by earning a crucial point against Kosovo, finishing second in their group behind Romania. The Netherlands also booked their spot in the tournament with a 1-0 victory over the Republic of Ireland, securing second place in their group behind France.

However, Bulgaria and Kosovo have seen their playoff hopes come to an end, along with Norway, while Wales still has a chance to secure a playoff spot. To qualify automatically, Wales needs to win against Turkey and hope Croatia drops points in their match against Armenia.
