Nicolas Jackson was presented officially before the HSV game
This season didn’t started well for Bayern Munich. It doesn’t mean they won’t win the Bundesliga in May 2026, but the transfer window was certainly not a good one. First of all, they missed on a Germany’s biggest talent – Florian Wirtz (Liverpool), they Jamal Musiala got injured at the FIFA Club World Cup. The Bavarians then pursuit the next Germany talent, Nick Woltemade, but lost him too, as Newcastle, desperate for a striker, overpaid for the Stuttgart striker. The the sporting director failed to lure a number of other players and the managing board told him he can only bring players on loan. In came Nicolas Jackson, but on the last day of the transfer window and with much bother, since the deal nearly failed due to Chelsea’s injury problems (Liam Delap).

He'll wear the No.11 shirt at the club.
🗣️ Jackson: "We're playing against Chelsea and lots of friends on Wednesday. I 'm looking forward to seeing them again and want to win the game."… pic.twitter.com/Poyv5zJpDD
The Senegalese striker arrived on a heavily paid loan and suddenly he revealed the untold truth – he supported Bayern all his life. Just like every player in the last five years is a boyhood fan of Manchester United (especially when they sign for them), Jackson revealed he always supported the Bavarians.
“There are always changes in football. Max Eberl and the coach really wanted me. As a player, you want to be where you're wanted. I've followed Bayern all my life. I'm really excited and can't wait to get going. My aim is to score as many goals as possible to help the team... My job is to play and help win. The number of games isn't my focus. I want to achieve great things with the club" said the on-loan Chelsea striker.
The Senegalese forward will probably start the game with HSV from the bench as Harry Kane will be Bayern’s number one striker as expected. But he will be also used in left or right wing positions in case of need. The clubs reached an agreement with Bayern 16.5 million euros only for loan, including a purchase option of around 65 million. But the bonuses concerning his appearances are also interesting. As it was revealed by German press, Every game in which Jackson plays at least 45 minutes would count towards the 40 in the obligation. That means a substitution before or at the start of the second half would also be included (Added time does not count). So it's either he starts the game or plays at least 45 minutes. He will surely miss game time during AFCON (against Heidenheim on December 20th, as well as the matches against Wolfsburg, Cologne, and Leipzig in January), so it will be interesting to see what will coach Vincent Company do with Jackson and what will be his game time.
