Saga is finally over: Bayern snatch Chelsea's Jackson in €16.5m loan gamble

One would say this is an example of panic buying
Drama, U-turns, brinkmanship - Bayern Munich finally got their man. Nicolas Jackson leaves Chelsea on a €16.5m loan, with a €65m buyout clause hanging over the deal.
The catch? The clause becomes mandatory after about 20 appearances. Which means Bayern could end up paying big for a striker who wasn't even their first… second… or third choice.
The Bavarians tried with Randal Kolo Muani. Flirted with Ademola Lookman. Even sounded out Christopher Nkunku. All dead ends. Jackson was Plan D.
He'll get minutes while Jamal Musiala recovers. But once Harry Kane, Michael Olise, Luis Diaz and Serge Gnabry are rolling, the Senegalese forward could be benched to dodge the clause.
🚨🔴⚪️ BREAKING: Bayern and Chelsea seal new agreement for Nicolas Jackson deal, done!

Loan + buy clause with new element of obligation to buy included in the deal for 2026, as Chelsea wanted.
Jackson already agreed 5 year deal at Bayern. €16.5m loan fee.

The twist? Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany rates him highly - he even wanted him back in 2019 at Anderlecht. If the Belgian coach unlocks Jackson, Bayern might just turn this "panic buy" into a permanent star.
