The two teams are yet to win a game this season

Bidco United and Nairobi City Stars played to a one-all draw at the Kasarani Annex on Sunday afternoon.

Simba wa Nairobi scored first in the second half through Andrew Kisilu, but super-sub Samuel Ndung'u struck minutes later to restore parity for Bidco.

It was a game for two youthful tacticians not afraid to express themselves, tweaking their tactics and formations to accommodate different situations in the game.

The first half was dull, with both coaches admitting the same in their post-match interviews, but changes in the second half saw a better display from both.

On resumption for the second half, both teams made changes as they sought to intensify the search for an opener.

Akhulia brought in the duo of Shariff Musa and Martin Nderitu in place of Eric Michubu and Douglas Mokaya, while Muyoti introduced Vincent Owino and rested Elvis Noor.

City Stars looked sharper in the initial stages of the second half, with Kevin Etemesi coming very close but being ultimately denied by the post after beating Daniel Odiwuor.

Their effort paid off ten minutes after the break when Kisilu poked home the opener from close range after some confusion in the box.

Chasing the game, Akhulia made three more changes as he brought in Ndung'u, Chris Opondo, and Michael Bodo while resting Thomas Wainaina, John Kelwish, and Jacob Onyango five minutes after the hour mark.

Ndung'u had an instant impact on the game, scoring within two minutes of his introduction to draw Bidco level and open up the game once again.

Since coming on, Musa was a thorn in the flesh for City Stars' defenders from the right and could have set up Nderitu for Bidco's lead but the former Mathare United player couldn't keep his effort on target.
