The Uganda international scored an audacious worldie for Naibois in their convincing 3-0 thumping of Shabana FC, which is still the talk of town.

On a quick restart from goalkeeper Bernard Jairo, the former CF Montreal defender received the ball in his own half, spotted Shabana custodian Stephen Ochieng outside his box and took a long-range shot that found the back of the net.

Kizza then ran across the pitch to celebrate his goal with Wanyama, Mariga and Heskey, the latter being the brother of the two football icons, fulfilling a promise he made before the match.

“I had my brothers Victor, Mariga and Heskey in the stadium to watch me, and before the game, I promised them that I would celebrate with them if I scored, and that's why I ran to them when I scored.

It felt good to help the team, which is the most important thing,” said Kizza.

The 26-year-old was Victor's teammate at CF Montreal, where they formed a great friendship that has continued to date as the Ugandan defender joins the Wanyama brothers on personal training every day.

Kizza, who signed for Naibois in the mid-season transfer window, went ahead to disclose his ambitions with the club.

“I want to win at least a trophy with this team before the season ends. That would make my season a success,” he stated.

Naibois face Mozzart Bet-powered Kakamega Homeboyz in a league match on Wednesday, 8 April at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, a match Kizza looks forward to, even as he called on the team’s faithful to show up and support the team.

“We are prepared well for the match. Homeboyz is a good team and have been winning their games.

I just want to call on all our fans to turn up in large numbers to support the team. They have been coming but not in large numbers, and so I ask them to show up in full house, and we promise to make them happy,” he remarked.
