The former AFC Leopards midfielder was banned by the Anti Doping Agency of Kenya (ADAK) in 2022 for refusing to have his sample taken.
After his sanction came to an end, Isuza joined Sharks with coach Muluya expounding his importance in the team.
“He is very important. Being a team that relies on the technical ability of players, we need to combine it with the physical aspect, which he brings through strength and conditioning of players,” said Muluya.
The Junior Starlets tactician also opened up on his long-term connection with the former Mathare United midfielder.
“He is also an important figure to have in the team. I am actually the first coach to sign him in the top flight when I was at Mathare United because he is someone I knew from High School,” he added.
Further, the 39-year-old lauded the working relationship that Isuza and Sharks assistant coach Ezekiel Seda have demonstrated.
“They are also working well with Seda (Ezekiel), having also played together at AFC Leopards and led the club well when I was away with the national team.”
Isuza is expected to add his experience to the already rich Sharks technical team as they strive to disentangle themselves from the relegation zone.
Sharks are on a poor run of form this season and are currently at the bottom of the 18-team league table as the first leg nears an end.
Since their promotion to the FKF Premier League in 2017, the Nick Mwendwa-backed club have not witnessed such a dalliance with relegation.
Interestingly, the struggles of the 2019 Mozzart Bet Cup champions come just a year after the exit of Mwendwa as the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President.
Muluya, in a recent interview, revealed that the team will be active in the mid-season transfer market in search of quality and experience to help them avoid relegation.
