Despite attracting interest from three top flight clubs, Migori Youth attacker Kevin Hagai will not switch his allegiance in the current transfer window.
Hagai was among players who ply trade in the National Super League whose services were highly sought after by top flight teams following the good show he put in the past season.
The youngster scored more than ten goals, becoming the highest scorer for Migori who finished third behind Murang’a Seal and Shabana.
The impressive goal returns caught the attention of Kariobangi Sharks, FC Talanta and four-time Kenyan champions Ulinzi Stars.
The interest from the three clubs will however, not sway Hagai from the Migori camp as he is ken on serving the team for another season.
“I have decided to play for Migori for another season. I really wanted to play in the top flight in the new season but, I feel I have unfinished business here,” he told Mozzart Sport.
The 19-year old revealed that inspiring Migori, an outfit that began investing in him when he was aged 12 years old to the top tier influenced him to turn down the offers.
Migori squandered the chance to get promoted after falling 3-0 to Wazito on aggregate in the promotion/relegation playoff last month.
“I want to help the team get promoted. We came close last month but it wasn’t our turn. The goal is to finish in the top two bracket next season,” he added.
Hagai, is a product of the Migori Youth Academy, having played in the U12,15 and 17 teams before getting promoted to the senior team.
He was promoted to the senior team in 2021.
