Ten rounds into the new season and the team was still using old kits with fans having no replicas to purchase
Since the season began, record and defending Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) champions Gor Mahia have been using recycled kits from two seasons back.
However, the team is now set to receive new kits ahead of their weekend tie against Murang'a Seal, a club they share a shirt sponsor.
According to the chairman Ambrose Rachier, the sponsor has shipped in the kits plus replica jerseys for fans.
The kits are manual by sports apparel maker Umbro, a shift from Macron they are currently using.
"I can confirm that the kits and replica jerseys for fans are in the country and we're just making arrangements on handing them over to the players and members of the technical bench," Rachier told Mozzart Sport.
Regarded as the nation's biggest and most successful club, Gor has often been accused of failing to take full advantage of the huge potential it has in merchandising to get additional revenue.

Better-organized clubs often ship in their new kits and replica jerseys for fans ahead of every new season.
"The delay is regrettable, but as I've said it's our sponsor who was handling the process. It is also not easy shipping into the country sports equipment due to bureaucratic challenges," Rachier said.
On Tuesday, Rachier announced that the club's new bus donated by the Eliud Owalo Foundation will be officially unveiled on Saturday at Kasarani Stadium.
After ten fixtures, Gor lie second on the log standings with 20 points from five wins and five - a point behind leaders Posta Rangers.
K'Ogalo, under Irish manager Johnathan McKinstry, remains the only unbeaten team in the league so far.
