The Reds question the VAR call over their disallowed goal at Manchester City on Sunday night
Liverpool have taken their frustration straight to PGMOL after Virgil van Dijk's first-half goal was ruled out in the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City - a decision that left Anfield fuming.
The Dutch defender's header seemed to have levelled the score at 1-1 in the 38th minute, but referee Chris Kavanagh disallowed it after the assistant flagged Andy Robertson for offside, claiming he had obstructed Gianluigi Donnarumma. VAR backed the call, insisting Robertson interfered with play.

Liverpool, however, are convinced the officials got it wrong. Club sources say multiple camera angles show the Scot was nowhere near the goalkeeper's line of sight - and that Donnarumma's view was never blocked.
While the Reds have accepted the defeat, they believe the disallowed goal completely changed the game's course. The club has now contacted PGMOL demanding an explanation as to how VAR checks failed to overturn what they see as a "clear and obvious" error.
Arne Slot didn't hold back after the match, telling Sky Sports:
"It's obvious - the wrong decision was made. Robertson didn't interfere with the keeper at all. That could have changed everything for us, because in the first half we were so poor."
The debate is raging, and Liverpool want answers. PGMOL has yet to comment.
