Khvicha shows class on his PSG debut, but Reims steal a point

Reims are obviously PSG's kriptonyte. Although the difference between the teams in terms of quality is huge now, just like it was in previous years, the Saints are simply unable to beat the underdogs.

For the third year in a row, Reims have stolen a point at the Parc des Princes! It was 2-2 last year, 1-1 the year before, and 1-1 again last night. Five of the previous six meetings between these two clubs ended in a draw.

This latest one came after PSG's incredible series of nine consecutive victories in all competitions. After all, this Ligue 1 encounter should have been just a routine night for the favourites after they brushed aside Manchester City in the Champions League in midweek (4-2). Alas, Reims had different plans and spoiled Khvicha Khvaratskhelia's debut for the Saints.

The crowed welcomed their expensive new signing with a standing ovation, and he instantly proved his class by assisting Ousmane Dembele for the opener two minutes into the second half. However, less than ten minutes later, Nakamura responded with the equalizer, and those two names were the only ones on the scoreboard at the end of the game. PSG's title credentials are anything but jeopardized, but this Reims stays their unsolved mystery.
