Action resumes in Group J of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers as Namibia faces five-time champions Cameroon at Orlando Stadium in South Africa.
The Brave Warriors will play for pride, having lost all four of their qualifiers, while Cameroon aims to open up a five-point lead at the top of the table and secure their spot as group winners.
Group J also includes Kenya and Zimbabwe, who each still have a chance to secure a ticket to the prestigious continental showpiece set for Morocco next year.
Namibia’s hopes of reaching the continental tourney effectively ended on Monday 14 October after a 3-1 defeat to Zimbabwe at Orlando Stadium.
This marked Namibia's second consecutive qualifying loss to Zimbabwe, following a 1-0 defeat in the first leg of their Group J double-header on Thursday 10 October.
Despite some bright moments, Collin Benjamin’s squad has struggled with a lack of finishing power, scoring only twice in four matches while conceding seven goals.

Namibia, currently at the bottom of the group standings, enters Wednesday's game following a first-round exit from the African Nations Championship, where they lost on penalties to Lesotho after a 1-1 aggregate draw.
In the Sunday 3 November return leg, Lawrence Doeseb’s 62nd-minute goal secured a 1-0 win for Namibia, levelling the score before they fell 4-3 in the penalty shootout at Free State Stadium.
Meanwhile, Cameroon recently fought hard to achieve consecutive victories for the first time in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers, including a 1-0 win over Kenya on Friday 4 October.
This marked the Indomitable Lions’ second straight victory over the Harambee Stars. Under Marc Brys, Cameroon opened their campaign with a 1-0 win over Namibia on Saturday 7 September, followed by a goalless draw with Zimbabwe three days later.
With 10 points from a possible 12, Cameroon leads Group J, holding a two-point advantage over second-placed Zimbabwe heading into the final two qualifiers.
Cameroon also remains unbeaten in their last six matches across all competitions, securing four wins and two draws, including a 4-1 triumph over Cape Verde in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, where they currently lead Group D with eight points from four games.
In other AFCON qualifiers on Wednesday, Liberia will host Togo, while Chad faces Sierra Leone.
