Nico's older brother Inaki is about to miss Ghana's upcoming games against Angola and Niger
Athletic Bilbao manager Ernesto Valverde revealed the possibility of Inaki Williams pulling out of the call-up for the Black Stars' crucial AFCON qualifiers games against Angola and Niger.
The striker missed Athletic's tie against Real Valladolid on Sunday, November 10, due to an injury.
Speaking after the game, Valverde said that Inaki may not be available for Ghana after missing the game on Sunday.
"I don't think he'll be able to play this time because he hasn't been able to be here with us," he said.
Inaki Williams was named in Otto Addo's 25-man squad for the final two games in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
He picked up a muscle injury in Athletic's 2-1 Europa League win over Ludogorets on Thursday, November 7.
Ghana will face Angola on November 15 in Luanda before hosting Niger on November 18. As things stand, along with Williams, there are seven more injured Black Stars ahead of the decisive fixtures: Antoine Semenyo, Jonas Adjetey, Tariq Lamptey, Jerome Opoku, Alexander Djiku, Ibrahim Osman and Joseph Painstil.
